After playing on the beaches of Panama City and visiting family here for over 20 years, I was excited when we were able to buy a small beach house on the west end of the beach; and, ecstatic when we decided to move from the complex, fast-paced lifestyle of Atlanta, and made Panama City our permanent home, purchasing a canal front in Lynn Haven. 

What I quickly learned was that although I had visited Panama City Beach often, and frequently played on its beaches, there was much I did not know about this area.  For example, I was delightfully surprised to learn of all the different kinds of waterways here: lagoon, bayous, canals, bayside, as well as gulf front.  To add to my excitement of being involved in real estate in this area, I saw property values soar with the sweeping high rise condos on the beaches of Panama City, and the new term "preconstruction pricing" take hold in the panhandle.  Although pricing now has leveled to near pre-boom pricing, the area continues to experience growth, making today's opportunities in Panama City, Fl some of the best opportunities to own from many other coastal comunities.  Because this is a resort area, there are many types of buildings and styles, and a vast array of price ranges.  I find it refreshing to show "newcomers"  to the market and all that Panama City Beach and its surroundings areas have to offer.  

If you haven't been to Panama City beaches in a few years, you will be surprised at the changes.  Gone are the mom and pop motels, and tatoo parlors, replaced by high rise condos, coastal communities, and Pier Park shopping with its 16 screen theatre.  Fine dining beyond the famous Capt. Anderson's Seafood Restaurant, such as Bonefish Grille, Firefly, and Saltwater Grille, sprinkles itself among the staples of Schooner's, Spinnaker's, Angelo's, and Pineapple Willy's.  Be careful when you come to visit, you just might want to stay and join the growth of this highly charged coastline.
